HE Weiqi, LIU Xuehua, CHEN Jining, CHEN Shan

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2008, Volume 2, Issue 2,   Pages 163-171 doi: 10.1007/s11783-008-0027-7

Abstract: Through a remote sensing (RS) approach and using Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper (TM) data, water quality retrievalshow that there exists a statistically significant correlation between each water quality variable and remotesensing data in a slightly-polluted inland water body with fairly weak spectral radiation. These accuracies were acceptable for the practical application of routine monitoring and early warningon water quality safety with the support of precise traditional monitoring.
